128 - Roman garden shelf

This is a magnificent corner shelf lavishly ornamented in Italian style, in the form of a garden with different types of plants and flowers and a cherub. The shelf has a huge amount of fretwork detail so it will take quite a long time to complete. The pattern is based in an old Italian design from the beginning of the XX century that I have entirely reconstructed in the computer.

The pattern has been designed to use 1/4 and 3/16 inches wood or 8 and 6 mm wood. By scaling the pattern appropriately any other wood thickness can also be used. These are the dimensions of the shelf depending on the wood thickness you use:

Height Left side Right side
1/4 and 3/16 in. wood 29,1 in. 12,2 in. 10,8 in.
6 and 4,5 mm wood 69.8 cm 29.4 cm 25.9 cm
8 and 6 mm wood 93 cm 39.2 cm 24.5 cm

Please note that this pattern is registered and copyrighted. If you would like to have it I offer it for 13 € plus shipping. The pattern is computer made, which provides total precision, and nicely printed for convenient scrolling. Please write me to [email protected] to buy this pattern or for any questions.

These pictures have been kindly sent by Kizlyk Alexcey from the city of Mirny, Sakha (Yakutia) Russia. They show fantastic craftsmanship, attention to detail and a very delicate satin finish with subtle use of colour that make this piece a masterwork.

These pictures have been kindly sent by Oleg Velesjuk from Kaliningrad, Russia. They show the roman garden shelf heavily modified including some ornamentation from the grotesques shelf.
