097 - Persian overmantel

This is an alluring Persian overmantel, originally conceived to hang over a fireplace in a Victorian house. It is basically a large frame adorned with cavities and shelves where diverse objects can be shown. The pattern is based in an old English design from the beginning of the XX century that I have entirely reconstructed in the computer. Every detail has been taken into account to make mounting and assembling easy. The largest rear piece has been divided in components that can be made with an 18 inches scroll saw. The overmantel has to be completed with a central frame and three mirrors or painted panels.

The pattern has been designed to use 3/16 inches wood or 5 or 6 mm wood. By scaling the pattern appropriately any other wood thickness can also be used. These are the dimensions of the overmantel depending on the wood thickness you use:

Height Width Depth
1/4 in. wood 52 in. 64 in. 7,6 in.
3/16 in. wood 39 in. 48 in. 5,7 in.
5 mm wood 104 cm 128 cm 15 cm
6 mm wood 125 cm 154 cm 18 cm

Please note that this pattern is registered and copyrighted. If you would like to have it I offer it for € plus shipping. The pattern is computer made, which provides total precision, and nicely printed for convenient scrolling. Please write me to info@finescrollsaw.com to buy this pattern or for any questions.
