179 - French villa clock

This is a design of French origin in art nouveau style whose purpose was to be placed at the entrance of the house, where the owners could leave the keys on the tower and the pocket watch on the wall of the villa. The tower windows were supposed to contain pictures of the members of the family. Not very fashionable these days but the model is very cute and can be made just as a clock.

The pattern is based on an old French design from the beginning of the XX century. It has been completely redrawn in the computer using the most advanced graphics techniques.

The villa is designed to be made preferably with 3/16 inches wood or with 5 mm wood. By scaling the pattern appropriately other wood thickness can also be used. The following table gives the dimensions of the villa depending on the wood thickness you use.

Width Height Depth
3/16 in. wood 16.2 in. 20 in. 10.4 in.
1/4 in. wood 24.3 in. 30 in. 15.7 in.
4 mm wood 34.4 cm 42 cm 22.4 cm
5 mm wood 43 cm 53 cm 28 cm
6 mm wood 51.6 cm 64 cm 33.6 cm
8 mm wood 69 cm 85 cm 45 cm
