238 - Floral wall gothic niche

This is an impressive wall niche beautifully ornamented with floral motifs in flamboyant gothic style with some details in art nouveau. It has a solemn, even hieratical aspect that make it appropriate for any room where an elegant religious addition is desired.

This design is a full computer reconstruction of an old Italian design from the beginning of the 20th century. In its standard suggested sizes for 3/16 inches or 5 mm wood (see dimensions in the table below) this scroll saw pattern requires the use of an 18 inches (45.7 cm) scroll saw. Several large pieces include indications to split them in two parts so that they can be cut with an 18 inches scroll saw.

The pattern has been designed to use 3/16 inches wood or 5 mm wood. By scaling the pattern appropriately any other wood thickness can also be used. These are the dimensions of the niche depending on the wood thickness you use:

Height Width Depth
3/16 inches wood 37.2 inches 8.5 inches 5.5 inches
1/8 inches wood 24.8 inches 5.7 inches 3.7 inches
1/4 inches wood 49.6 inches 11.3 inches 7.3 inches
5 mm wood 99.2 cm 22.7 cm 14.7 cm
3 mm wood 59.5 cm 13.6 cm 8.8 cm
4 mm wood 79.3 cm 18.1 cm 11.8 cm
